Mobile Banking: Rewards and Risks - This article discusses the technologies used to deliver mobile banking services, identifies the risks to financial institutions and consumers, and describes strategies for mitigating these risks. The updated Internet Banking Policy Template also contains the guidance issued by FinCEN entitled "Identifying and Reporting Account Takeover Activity" issued on December 19, 2011. The release of these revised products is in response to guidance issued by the CFPB entitled "Transfer of Rule Making Authority - Regulation B" and "Transfer of Rule making Authority - Regulation C" dated December 21, 2011 which transfers rule making authority for Regulations B and C to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from the Federal Reserve. In addition, these updated products contain guidance in response to the CFPB Announcement entitled "A Guide to CFPB's Supervision" issued on October 13, 2011 that provides a guide for bureau examiners to use in overseeing companies that provide consumer financial products and services.
