The minor revision to this product is in response to the Federal Reserve Bank Press Release "Remotely Created Checks" released on 11/21/05. This guidance amends Regulation CC that define "remotely created checks" and create transfer and presentment warranties to shift liability for an unauthorized remotely created check to the institution where it is first deposited. The effective date for these final rules is July 1, 2006.

What's Revised

Topic 3 - Definitions. The definition of a "Remotely Created Check" was added.

Topic 5 - Warranties (Subpart C). A new subtopic "Transfer and Presentment Warranties with Respect to a Remotely Created Check" was added.
